Have you ever wondered what the difference is between Facilitation and Coaching Services? In this short post, we will explain our interpretation of that difference and how it applies to Health and Wellbeing services.
In recent times, you might have noticed a rise in the offering of Facilitation services, and we thought it might be good to explain exactly what Facilitation is, as opposed to Coaching sessions. While other service providers may have slightly different opinions (and that is perfectly fine), Wild Wellbeing Co. offers our clients Facilitation sessions as a foundation of our services, so here we will explain the facilitation process from our perspective. FACILITATION versus COACHING:
In our world, we offer Facilitation sessions for people who are looking to create changes in certain areas of their lives but don’t know what specific action to take. The facilitation process tends to be more driven by the client while the facilitator directs attention by asking questions and encouraging the client to find their own answers. For this reason, facilitation is great for uncovering subconscious limitations and beliefs that are blocking the progress of each person on a unique basis.
In a coaching environment, the leader tends to direct the process a lot more in a more generic format, with specific results in mind and while this may work in business or sports environments, in the personal development arena, pure coaching processes can sometimes be a little restrictive. While every modality has its value in certain situations, we have found that the individual facilitation process can achieve dynamic results in the shortest period, particularly when dealing with physical, mental and emotional issues that often result in health and well-being disorders.

A typical facilitation session opens with a short grounding exercise, where the client is encouraged to centre into the present moment, and this is followed by some questions to establish what the problem is. Once the problem is clarified, it can then be released and the pathway cleared for more aligned actions.
Facilitation sessions are very effective when offered over the phone or via Skype or Zoom, which makes them a much more convenient and flexible method of treatment and allows the sessions available to a global audience.
